Biography
Attorney Roy J. Elizondo, III grew up in the Texas Hill Country just north of San Antonio as the eldest of three siblings. He graduated top of his class in high school before attending Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut where he competed on the Yale Wrestling Team and Yale Chess Club. After graduating from Yale in 1998, Mr. Elizondo came back home to Texas to attend South Texas College of Law in downtown Houston while working as a law clerk for legendary attorney, John O'Quinn. Before graduating South Texas and passing the Texas Bar in 2002, Roy won his first jury trial (representing himself) as a 2nd year law student.
Mr. Elizondo has been handling catastrophic injury cases for 20 years and has managed the Houston Offices of two major and highly respected plaintiff's firms, recovering over $100 million for clients. Roy Elizondo and Wayne Collins have now formed Collins & Elizondo, building a lasting legacy in the Texas legal community.
Mr. Elizondo is happily married with two kids and practices mixed martial arts in his spare time with a focus in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and American Boxing.
